How your legacy can change lives

A legacy, or a gift in a Will, left to Papworth Trust helps to change lives. We are very grateful to all of those generous individuals who have already left a gift and have allowed us to do things we wouldn’t have been able to do otherwise.

The legacy of Mr Frederick Dawson

Mr Frederick Dawson left a gift in his Will to our Waveney Centre in Lowestoft.

At the Waveney Centre we offer care and support services, as well as information and advice.

Mr Dawson’s donation allowed us to completely renovate and refurbish the Centre.

It was modernised and brightened up to make it more inviting, whilst the space was redesigned to make it more useful. We also installed a working kitchen so that people who use the centre can learn new cooking skills.

Mr Dawson’s gift has meant we now have a centre which is welcoming and practical and, most importantly, making a difference to the people who attend.

We were delighted to welcome Paralympic gold medalist Jessica-Jane Applegate MBE to officially re-open the Centre and unveil the new ‘Dawson Room’.
